Embroidery Questions, Answered.
Turnaround times, custom artwork, thread specs, and what we’ll do with the uniforms you already own.
-
Is embroidery done on-site at Atlantic Uniform?
Yes. Every stitch is run on the embroidery machines in our Belleville, NJ facility. We don’t outsource. That’s how we can quality-check, fix, and reroute jobs the same day.
-
How long does department embroidery take?
Most standard department-name and rank work ships within 5–10 business days of order approval. Rush turnarounds are available for active duty needs — call us and we’ll work it in.
-
Can you embroider custom department logos and patches?
Yes. Send us your art file (vector preferred). We’ll digitize it for embroidery, run a sample for approval, then move to production. We handle Maltese crosses, engine company numbers, tac-team insignia, and one-off commemorative patches.
-
What thread colors and styles do you offer?
We carry a full Madeira and Robison-Anton thread library, plus tackle-twill letters in standard public-safety colors. We’ll match your department’s approved spec exactly — gold, silver, white, navy, black, agency-specific blues, and reflective.
-
Can you embroider on uniforms I already own?
Yes. Bring in or ship us your existing uniform shirts, jackets, or duty gear. We’ll add names, ranks, or unit patches and return them quality-checked.
Need an Embroidery Spec?
Send your department’s art file. We’ll digitize, sample, and confirm before production.
