We Alter Uniforms
from Any Vendor.
You don’t have to have bought it from us. Hem, taper, badge-sew, or repair any uniform from any brand. These are the names that come through our shop most often.
Alterations Questions, Answered.
Turnaround, what we accept, shipping in, and what we’ll do with the uniforms you bought elsewhere.
-
Do you do alterations on uniforms purchased elsewhere?
Yes. You don’t have to buy from us to have us tailor your uniform. Bring in pants, shirts, jackets, or duty gear from any vendor and we’ll hem, taper, sew patches, or repair them in our Belleville shop.
-
What’s the typical turnaround for alterations?
Standard alterations come back in 5–7 business days. Walk-in rush service is available for active-duty needs, often within 48 hours. Bulk department rework is scheduled around your roll-call timing.
-
Can you remove and replace rank stripes after a promotion?
Yes. Removing chevrons, hash marks, or rank insignia and re-sewing the new rank is a common request. We do it cleanly — no visible holes or stitch lines from the previous rank.
-
Can I ship my uniforms in for alterations?
Yes. Many officers and out-of-state departments ship uniforms to us. Include a note with what you need done and a return shipping address; we’ll quote, complete the work, and ship them back.
-
Do you repair torn or damaged uniforms?
Yes. Knees, elbows, seam blowouts, and on-shift damage can usually be repaired. If a garment is beyond repair we’ll tell you up front and offer a replacement — we won’t charge you to fix something that should be retired.
Need Alterations?
